Apex PPF activates its self-healing elastic memory at approximately 45°C (113°F). Exposure to engine hood heat, warm sunlight, or warm tap water will instantly smooth out minor scratches and swirl marks.
Apex PPF reaches initial tack within minutes during installation and reaches full bond strength within 48 to 72 hours, depending on ambient shop temperature and humidity. We recommend waiting at least 7 days before high-pressure washing or applying harsh chemicals.
Yes. While Apex PPF comes pre-infused with a factory hydrophobic ceramic topcoat, you can apply PPF-compatible ceramic coatings or spray sealants on top for enhanced slickness, UV protection, and chemical resistance. Avoid abrasive compounds or solvent-heavy coatings.
